Rival Brothers Coffee Roasters is looking for passionate, experienced hospitality professionals to join our team across multiple Adelaide locations.

We're currently recruiting for

- Full-Time Position 1: Senior Barista / All Rounder (Level 3) @ Cheltenham (0.8 FTE also available)

- Full-Time Position 2: Cafe All Rounder (Level 2) @ Henley Beach (0.8 FTE also available)

- Casual Opportunities: Cafe All Rounders (Level 2) working across Cheltenham, Henley Beach and Loxley Kent Town

About the Roles

At Rival Brothers, we're proudly South Australian and continuing to expand our coffee footprint across the state. Our cafés are busy, community-focused venues built around great coffee, genuine hospitality and strong team culture.

We're looking for experienced Barista/Cafe All Rounders who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and take pride in delivering exceptional coffee and customer service. While coffee is a key part of the role, we're seeking team members who are happy to jump into all areas of café operations, including customer service, food preparation, dishwashing, stock replenishment and service support.

You'll spend much of your shift on the coffee machine but should also be comfortable with preparing and toasting wraps, toasties, banana bread and other menu items when required.

We value people who are adaptable, proactive and willing to support their team wherever needed.

2 x Full Time Roles (1 x Senior role Level 3 & 1 x Level 2)

- Permanent full-time employment

- Annualised salary package on offer for full weekend coverage

- Minimum one weekend shift required as part of the roster (higher salary for full weekend coverage)

- Stable shifts (e.g. Sunday to Thursday roster or Friday to Tuesday roster or 4 days condensed working week)





Casual Roles (Level 2)

- Up to 15-20 hours per week

- Additional shifts available during staff leave and peak periods

- Flexibility to work across Cheltenham, Henley Beach and Kent Town locations

- Suitable for university students or people looking to add one or two shifts to their current workload

Summary of Key Responsibilities

- Prepare high-quality coffee in a fast-paced specialty coffee environment

- Dial in and maintain coffee quality, consistency and neat latte art throughout service

- Deliver friendly, efficient and genuine customer service and contribute positively to team culture and customer experience

- Support full cafe operations including opening and closing procedures, operating POS systems, processing orders, running food and coffee, preparing and toasting food items, supporting dishwashing, cleaning, and stock and station replenishment

- Uphold food safety, hygiene and WHS standards

What We're Looking For

- Minimum 2 years' barista experience in a busy café environment

- Strong coffee knowledge and confidence working independently and collaboratively on machine

- Ability to consistently produce clean, quality latte art (basic hearts are perfectly acceptable)

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced service environment (note. we are a very busy business)

- Strong multitasking skills and a willingness to support all areas of café operations

- Comfortable assisting with food preparation, toasting,



dishwashing and stock replenishment

- Comfortable working across all areas of café operations, not just behind the coffee machine

- Reliable, punctual and organised with positive solutions focused attitude and strong work ethic

- Excellent customer service and communication skills

- Weekend availability
- A genuine team player who enjoys working in a team-oriented environment and is happy to roll up their sleeves and help wherever needed

For the Senior Barista / All Rounder (Level 3) position, previous experience leading shifts, mentoring team members and maintaining coffee quality standards will be highly regarded.
