About the role

Balibola is a dynamic matcha café in Melbourne, opening its first Sydney shop. We're looking for experienced Baristas, Bakers, BOH, and FOH staff who bring energy, professionalism, and a can-do spirit to the table. If you're outgoing, reliable, professional, ambitious, and adaptable, you might be the perfect fit to join our team.

Key responsibilities

Barista

- Prepare and serve a variety matcha, smoothies and coffees according to Balibola recipes and standards, and delivering exceptional customer service
- Assist in beverage BOH preparations
- Taking orders, processing payments and operating POS systems
- Maintaining coffee equipment, workstations and café presentation
- Collaborate with the Manager to enhance the customer experience

Baker

- Preparing and baking a range of baked goods such as cheesecakes, tiramisus & others
- Managing baking schedules to ensure products are fresh and available for service

BOH

- Preparing all ingredients and restocking stations, including matcha, creams, smoothie ingredients and bakery needs
- Working effectively as part of a fast-paced team during busy service periods
- Supporting FOH staff and ensuring orders are prepared accurately and efficiently
- Cleaning duties to maintain a clean environment

FOH

- Providing friendly and efficient customer service and taking orders accurately
- Operating POS systems, processing payments and managing customer orders
- Maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming front-of-house environment
- Restocking front-of-house supplies, ingredients and packaging as required
- Keeping service areas,



displays and customer spaces clean and well presented
- Learn to prepare matcha and other beverages to Balibola standards
- Working effectively as part of a fast-paced team during busy service periods

About you

- Minimum 2 years' experience in a fast paced hospitality environment
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership skills, strong professional work ethics, approachable and ego-free
- Calm, solutions-focused mindset - especially in high-pressure service moments
- A genuine passion for matcha, coffee and hospitality
- Advanced barista skills with confidence in both quality and speed for Barista position
- Deliver and maintain the highest standard in branding with our customers
- Maintain a harmonious working environment within our team
