About the role

You'll work alongside participants and their support networks to understand behaviour, identify unmet needs and develop practical, person-centred strategies that support greater independence, participation, choice and quality of life. Your work may take you across home, school, SIL and community settings.

Key responsibilities

- Conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs)
- Developing individualised Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs)
- Implementing proactive and preventative Positive Behaviour Support strategies
- Supporting communication, emotional regulation, independence and everyday skill development
- Collaborating with families, carers, support workers and other professionals
- Providing practical training and guidance to support teams
- Reviewing outcomes and adapting strategies as needs change
- Supporting the reduction and prevention of restrictive practices wherever possible
- Building genuine relationships with the people you support and keeping their voice, strengths, preferences and goals at the centre of your work

About you

- Current NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner suitability
- Relevant qualifications and experience in behaviour support
- Strong FBA, clinical reasoning,



report writing and BSP development skills
- Experience supporting people with disability and/or complex support needs
- A strong understanding of Positive Behaviour Support and evidence-informed practice
- A commitment to trauma-informed, neuro-affirming, strengths-based and person-centred practice
- Confidence managing your own caseload and working independently
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A cooperative and reflective approach to your work
