With over AUD 6 million invested in state-of-the-art wash plants, pelletising lines, water recycling systems, and blown film production, EnviroPlas is designed to divert thousands of tonnes of plastic waste from landfill while creating regional jobs.

Its model integrates nationwide product stewardship with in-house manufacturing so waste plastics are recycled and returned to farms as new, locally made products. Role Description This is a full-time, in office role based in Mareeba, QLD for a Blown Film Production Manager and Technical Lead. The role is responsible for overseeing daily blown film production operations, including planning production schedules, coordinating raw material supply, and ensuring efficient use of equipment and resources. The manager will lead and mentor production teams, set performance targets, implement safety and quality standards, and troubleshoot technical issues with film extrusion lines and ancillary equipment.





Day-to-day tasks include monitoring process parameters, optimizing film quality and output, supervising maintenance activities, and collaborating closely with the recycling, pelletising, and logistics teams to maintain continuous, reliable production. The role also involves driving process improvements, supporting product development for agricultural films, maintaining documentation and compliance, and contributing to a culture of safety, sustainability, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of blown film extrusion processes, film formulation, and plastics processing technology.
- Demonstrated experience in production management, including scheduling, resource allocation, and team leadership in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in quality control practices, process optimization, and troubleshooting production and technical issues.
- Understanding of maintenance planning, equipment reliability, and safe operation of industrial machinery.
- Experience working with agricultural or industrial plastics, recycling operations, or circular economy initiatives is highly beneficial.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, process data, and production reports, and use this information for continuous improvement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train staff, enforce safety standards, and collaborate across teams.
- Relevant technical qualification in engineering, polymers, manufacturing, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
