Help Create a Safe, Clean and Welcoming Home Away From Home St Peters Lutheran College is seeking to engage a dedicated and reliable Boarding Housekeeper to join our Boarding team. About the Role

Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor, the Boarding Housekeeper is responsible for delivering high-quality cleaning and sanitation services across the College's boarding facilities. You will contribute to the wellbeing of students by ensuring boarding houses remain clean, hygienic, secure and welcoming at all times.

This role requires a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and be comfortable working both in a team-oriented team but also independently when required.

This is a permanent part-time role, working 75 hours per fortnight.

Key Responsibilities

- Clean and maintain boarding facilities to a high standard
- Vacuum, sweep and mop floors
- Clean bathrooms, toilets and shared living spaces
- Dust and detail accommodation areas
- Remove cobwebs, graffiti and other maintenance concerns
- Clean outdoor furniture and surrounding walkways
- Safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Identify and report maintenance issues, hazards and damage




- Respond to ad hoc cleaning requests as required
- Assist with holiday cleaning programs and broader school cleaning activities
- Contribute to a safe workplace through sound housekeeping and WHS practices

About You

You will bring:

- Minimum two years' experience in a qualified cleaning or housekeeping role, preferably within a school setting
- A commitment to delivering exceptional cleaning standards
- Experience operating cleaning equipment safely and effectively
- Knowledge of safe chemical handling practices
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach
- Reliable, punctual and professional work habits
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- The physical capacity to undertake manual handling duties
- An understanding of confidentiality requirements within a boarding school environment
- Be supportive of the Colleges Christian Ethos and values
