We currently have multiple position's on offer for Boiler Making Apprentices. Our valued customer based in Coolum Beach are looking to expand their dynamic team and are seeking a dedicated, reliable and experienced apprentices.

Are you looking to forge a lifelong career in a high-demand trade? Under the guidance of qualified tradespeople, you will learn the ins and outs of heavy structural steel fabrication. You will gain hands-on experience working on exciting commercial and industrial projects while completing your nationally recognised Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade.

Applicants will meet the following criteria:

- A genuine interest in metalwork, structural fabrication, or welding.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to doing a job right the first time.
- Solid basic maths skills (crucial for measuring, marking out, and calculating angles) and great mechanical aptitude.
- Great communication skills and a willingness to listen, learn, and take direction.

- Car and License essential

As an apprentice, your responsibilities will grow as your skills develop. You will train to:

- Interpret and work directly from engineering blueprints and technical drawings.
- Cut, section, and prepare structural steel using plasma cutters, oxy torches, and saws.
- Section, align, and assemble heavy steel beams, columns, and trusses.
- Master various welding techniques, including high-quality TIG, MIG, Flux-Core, and MMAW (Stick) welding.
- Operate heavy workshop machinery like overhead cranes, guillotine shears, and brake presses CNC.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and strictly safe working workplace.
