About the role

Lakes Entrance Bowls Club is seeking an experienced, full function Bookkeeper to take ownership of finances and become a trusted part of the management team. This is a hands-on role where you'll report directly to the General Manager, support the Board with explicit, accurate reporting, and have the autonomy to run the function your way.

Key responsibilities

- Accounts payable and receivable, including supplier payment runs and member, hire and function invoicing
- Weekly/fortnightly payroll under the Registered and Licensed Clubs Award, including STP, super and PAYG
- Daily reconciliation of takings across bar, bistro, and gaming, plus bank, merchant and petty cash reconciliations
- Monthly P&L; and Balance Sheet reports for management and the Board
- BAS/IAS preparation and lodgement
- General ledger, journals, and year-end support for external accountant/auditor

About you





- Cert IV in Bookkeeping/Accounting (or equivalent), or substantial relevant experience
- Proven full function bookkeeping experience, including payroll, BAS and reconciliations
- Strong skills in MYOB or Xero, and Excel
- A solid understanding of Modern Award and payroll compliance
- Accuracy, discretion, and the ability to work independently to deadlines
- Registered BAS Agent status (bonus)
- Club, hospitality or not-for-profit experience (bonus)
- Familiarity with POS, gaming monitoring, or membership systems (bonus)
