The Role

This is an entry-level bookkeeping position in the truest sense. You will work inside a dedicated bookkeeping division, learning the fundamentals correctly and building toward real technical responsibility. You report to a Director of the Firm — which means you need to be capable of taking direction well and executing it accurately. This is a full-time, office-based role in Alexandria. There is no remote option.

Day to Day

Your work will include

- Accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
- Month-end and period-end processing — bank reconciliations, journal entries
- General ledger reconciliation
- Fixed asset register maintenance
- GST reconciliation and assistance with BAS/IAS lodgements
- Payroll processing and further technical responsibilities as you develop
- General administrative support as required

What We Need

- You are detail-driven. Numbers need to be right. Not roughly right — right. You check your own work before anyone else has to.

- You are studying or qualified.



You are currently completing or have completed a Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting and Bookkeeping at TAFE, or a Bachelor of Accounting or Business at university. Prior experience is preferred but not required — the right attitude matters more.

- You are competent with technology. You are proficient with computers, comfortable in Excel or equivalent.. We will train you on our systems.

- You can work independently and in a team. You know the difference between asking a good question and waiting for someone to do your thinking.

- You meet deadlines. Accounting operates on a calendar. You understand this and you manage your workload accordingly.

- You want to build a career in bookkeeping. This is not a placeholder role for you. You are here to develop technical skills and grow within a firm that will invest in you if you perform.
