About the Roles

As a Branch Coordinator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of an allocated branch, supporting volunteers and ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with organisational requirements. As a Relief Branch Coordinator, you will provide leave coverage and operational support across multiple branches. While you may have designated base branches, you will also travel to metropolitan and regional locations as required to maintain continuity of service during annual leave, planned absences and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate daily branch operations, ensuring meals are prepared, stored and delivered efficiently.




- Support, supervise and mentor volunteers, fostering a positive and inclusive team environment.
- Train volunteers in food safety requirements, kitchen equipment and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ensure compliance with Meals on Wheels SA policies, procedures and food safety requirements.
- Maintain food safety records, quality assurance documentation and branch administration.
- Assist with meal preparation, cooking, storage and distribution as required.
- Complete branch reporting, ordering and administrative tasks.
- Work collaboratively with Branch Support Officers and the Operations Team.
- For Relief Branch Coordinators, provide operational support and leave coverage across metropolitan and regional branches as required.

About You

The successful applicant will:
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enjoy working with and supporting volunteers.
- Be highly organised with strong coordination and time management skills.
- Demonstrate initiative and the ability to work independently.
- Be adaptable and able to manage competing priorities.
- Build positive relationships with volunteers, staff and stakeholders.
- Have experience in hospitality, food services, community services,



volunteer coordination or a similar environment (desirable).
- Hold a current driver's licence.
- For Relief Branch Coordinator positions, be willing to travel throughout metropolitan and regional South Australia, including occasional overnight stays where required.
