The Role Do you have experience in the building surveying or construction industry?

We are seeking either a registered Building Surveyor (Band 6) or a Building Technical Officer (Band 5) to work across the City of Greater Bendigo region.

You will help build community confidence in the building surveying industry via all facets of the permit, applications and approvals process and support further development of the building services unit. This role focuses on supporting the community and internal stakeholders in all matters regarding building compliance, regulations and providing high level customer support.

We welcome applications from both registered Building Surveyors (BS-L/U) and candidates nearing their building surveyor registration (within approximately 12 months). This role offers an excellent pathway opportunity, with mentoring and support from experienced senior team members, offering all building surveying services based in Bendigo.

About You

You will have a sound knowledge of building and construction industry Act, Regulations, codes and standards and the processes and procedures therein.

You will also be keen to learn, have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and enjoy working in a team environment.

It is essential that you have a current driver’s licence as this position will conduct site inspections in a council vehicle.

Candidates suitable for a Building Technical Officer (Band 5, Starting salary $81,411) are encouraged to apply, with position classification determined based on experience,



capability and registration.

An assessment of police record is required for this position.
