Our client is a high profile luxury consumer business, presenting an exciting prospect for a Platform Engineering Manager to join the organisation with the view of leading the design, build, evolution, governance and engineering maturity of core enterprise platforms across organisation.

Key responsibilities n

Own and drive the platform engineering strategy, overseeing 6+ platform teams and 25+ staff

n

Lead the engineering maturity, design standards, lifecycle evolution and technical quality of critical enterprise platforms

n

Establish clear Build / Evolve / Enable accountabilities for platform engineering

n

Build and develop high-performing platform engineering teams with strong technical ownership and modernise engineering practices

n

Drive engineering automation, reusable patterns, self-service enablement, standardisation and continuous improvement to increase delivery speed, quality,



security and platform consistency

n

Champion innovation opportunities that modernise platform engineering capability and unlock enterprise business value

About you n

Proven platform engineering leadership - driving strategy and people leadership of reasonable size

n

Knowledge of multiple technology domains including Microsoft platforms, SAP ecosystems, cloud and integration services

n

Ability to thrive and modernise engineering capability in a changing environment including technology, digital and business transformation

n

Ability to balance speed, governance, security and quality in engineering delivery

n

Strong leadership and stakeholder management across business and technical domain
