About This Role

Your new role:

As a Registered Nurse within the Department of Diagnostic Radiology, you will deliver safe, compassionate and person-centred nursing care while working collaboratively with nursing, allied health and medical professionals. This role provides opportunities to strengthen your clinical judgement, support colleagues and contribute to best-practice care within a dynamic healthcare environment.

- Deliver comprehensive, safe and compassionate nursing care that addresses the physical, psychological, social, emotional and spiritual needs of patients.
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised patient care in collaboration with patients, families and the interprofessional healthcare team.
- Apply critical thinking, clinical judgement, flexibility and time management to prioritise patient care and respond to changing clinical needs.
- Work independently and collaboratively, taking accountability for your own nursing practice and the care activities delegated to ENs, AINs and other healthcare workers.

About You

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse who is committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care and contributing positively to the healthcare team. You will demonstrate professional accountability, effective communication and a commitment to continuous learning.

- Demonstrated ability to deliver safe,



quality and person-centred nursing care using effective assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation skills.
- Knowledge of clinical guidelines, policies, quality processes and evidence-based practice, with a commitment to patient safety and service improvement.
- Effective communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with patients, families and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Demonstrated clinical judgement, critical thinking, organisation and the ability to adapt to changing clinical priorities.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, lifelong learning and the delivery of evidence-informed care.
- Ability to demonstrate clinical leadership, integrity, empathy and respect when working with patients, carers and colleagues.
- Commitment to developing or applying specialist knowledge and skills in radiology nursing patient care.

About Us

The Department of Diagnostic Radiology (DDR) ensures a co-ordinated multidisciplinary approach to the management of inpatients and outpatients with complex medical needs. The DDR provides a 24-hour service 7 days a week for the PAH, Qld state-wide and northern NSW.
