Slabcorp is seeking an experienced and reliable Maintenance Worker / Handyman to join our team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong general maintenance knowledge and practical experience across a variety of building repair and finishing works. The successful applicant should be confident carrying out general handyman and property maintenance tasks independently and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

- General commercial building maintenance and handyman works
- Plasterboard repairs, patching, setting and preparation of walls and ceilings
- Internal and external painting, including preparation, sanding, filling, touch-ups and complete repainting where required
- Minor carpentry works, including repairs to doors, door frames, architraves, skirtings, cabinetry and general fixtures
- Minor building repairs and rectification works
- Basic maintenance and troubleshooting of plumbing fixtures, where the work does not require a licensed trade
- Installation and replacement of fixtures, fittings, hardware, shelving and other building components
- Silicone sealing,



caulking and general finishing works
- Repairing damaged walls, ceilings, doors and other internal finishes
- Conducting inspections and identifying maintenance or repair requirements

About you

- Previous experience in building maintenance, construction, property maintenance or handyman work
- Minor plastering, setting and patching skills
- Robust painting and surface-preparation experience
- General carpentry and building maintenance knowledge
- Experience using common hand and power tools
- Good problem-solving and fault-finding ability
- A strong eye for detail and quality workmanship
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple maintenance tasks
- Construction White Card
