Trades Assistant – Spray Painting Experience

Our client is a well-established mining services business based in Heatherbrae and is looking for a Trades Assistant with spray painting experience to join their team on afternoon shift.

This is a great chance for someone with a trade background or hands‑on workshop experience who enjoys working in a busy environment and wants a family-friendly Monday to Thursday roster.

The Role

Working alongside the workshop team, you'll assist with a range of general workshop duties, including:

- Spray painting and surface preparation
- Assisting tradespeople with day-to-day workshop tasks
- Cleaning, preparation and finishing of mining equipment and components
- Packing and wrapping pallets ready for dispatch
- General manual handling and use of hand tools
- Loading and preparing equipment and components for transport
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
- Following workplace health and safety procedures

What we’re looking for





We're looking for someone who:

- Has previous spray painting experience, ideally in a workshop or industrial environment
- Has experience working around machinery, equipment or mining components
- Is practical, reliable and hands‑on
- Can work well as part of a team
- Takes pride in the quality of their work
- Has a strong commitment to workplace safety
- Previous mining or heavy industry experience will be highly regarded, but isn’t essential.
