We have two opportunities in our national Brands, Clients and Markets team, available as either six-month or 12-month contracts. We welcome candidates at Advisor and Manager level. Portfolio scope and stakeholder responsibilities will be tailored to the successful candidate’s experience and role level.

Based in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth or Canberra, you will work with senior partners across the firm, take ownership of strategic portfolios and collaborate nationally to shape our approach to growth and client development.

About you

You are a commercially minded business development professional who can move confidently between strategy and execution. You build trusted relationships, bring a strong client perspective and enjoy collaborating with senior stakeholders to turn ideas into measurable outcomes.

To succeed in this role, you will bring the following experience, skills and attributes.

Qualifications / experience

- Tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, Law, Commerce or another relevant degree.
- At least three years’ demonstrated success in a business development role within professional services or a business-to-business environment; legal-sector experience will be highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of professional services marketing and business development principles, methodologies and commercial drivers.
- Demonstrated experience leading or supporting proposals, tenders, pitches and other strategic pursuits.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
- Practical experience using AI tools to improve the efficiency, quality and impact of business development, marketing and client-focused activities.

- Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence partners, senior leaders, peers and internal clients.
- Robust commercial judgement and a client-first mindset, with a focus on service excellence and continuous improvement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex information into clear,



concise and persuasive messages.
- Strong organisational, prioritisation and project management skills, with the resilience to adapt to changing demands.
- A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to work autonomously when required.

Your role

As an integral member of the national Business Development team, you will partner with senior stakeholders to translate firm strategy into focused initiatives that grow revenue, deepen client relationships and strengthen market position.

At Advisor level, you will deliver high-quality initiatives with guidance from senior team members. At Manager level, you will lead more complex portfolios and pursuits with greater autonomy, provide strategic advice to stakeholders and help shape priorities across the team.

Key responsibilities include:

- Manage a portfolio of a practice group, sector and a strategic client, with scope tailored to your experience and role level.
- Develop and execute business development plans that align with firm strategy and generate measurable growth opportunities.
- Lead and support tenders, pitches, capability statements, directory submissions and strategic pursuits that improve win rates, revenue growth and market recognition.
- Partner with the business to identify cross-selling opportunities, deepen strategic client relationships and coordinate targeted client engagement.
- Use market, client and competitor insights to inform decisions, identify emerging opportunities and strengthen the firm’s positioning.
- Collaborate with the Brand & Communications team to deliver thought leadership, events, sponsorships and campaigns that build profile and support strategic priorities.
