We are an indoor vertical farm in Melbourne, we grow pesticide-free, soil-free produce all year round. We also run a wholesale arm that supplies fresh produce to restaurants, pubs and grocers across Melbourne.

The role

We're looking for someone to grow our customer base across hospitality and retail. You'll find current accounts, open doors with people you already know, and look after the relationships once they're on board. It's a casual role of 12 hours a week, and most of it is spent out talking to chefs, venue owners and store buyers rather than at a desk.

What you'll do

- Find and follow up leads with restaurants, cafes, pubs, grocers and independent retailers
- Use your existing contacts to set up introductions, samples and tastings
- Reconnect with previous Fifth Harvest customers and identify opportunities to bring them back
- Pitch both our farm-grown range and broader wholesale offering, and put together pricing and proposals with the team
- Turn new accounts into regular customers and identify opportunities to grow the range they buy from us
- Build relationships with chefs, owners, buyers and hospitality groups, and generate introductions and referrals




- Keep a simple sales pipeline with clear next steps and follow up opportunities through to a trial order or decision
- Keep in touch with existing customers so we understand what’s working, what they need and where we could improve
- Feed back what you’re hearing from the market, including pricing, competitor activity, hard-to-source produce and new product opportunities
- Work closely with the operations team so that what we sell matches what we can reliably source, grow and deliver
- Report back each week on leads, new accounts, sales opportunities and what you’re hearing from customers

What you'll bring

- Experience in hospitality, whether that's in venues, food sales, supply or distribution
- An established network in Melbourne's hospitality and retail scene
- A track record of winning recent business and keeping it
- Comfort walking into a kitchen or store and starting a conversation
- Enough organisation to manage your own time and follow through without much oversight
- A driver's licence and your own car
