- International Business Development Manager
- Brisbane-based | Global remit | Versatile WFH options
- $170,000–$200,000 + Super + Company Car or Car Allowance + Uncapped Commission
There is a difference between a good sales job and a career-defining one. This is the second kind. My client manufactures, remanufactures and represents market-leading OEM products for critical rotating equipment across power generation, hydro, oil and gas, LNG, mining and heavy industry. Think turbines, compressors, pumps and gearboxes running inside power stations, offshore platforms and processing plants around the world.
They are already established across Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia, with decades of technical credibility and a proven operational team behind them. Customers do not question their capability. What they are missing is the commercial force to go and claim the market that is already sitting in front of them. That is the seat on offer.
You will not inherit a tidy list of accounts to babysit. You will be handed a $5 million annual new-business target and the freedom to decide where the real opportunity lives, whether that is a mining operator in Western Australia, an LNG facility in South East Asia, or an OEM relationship on the other side of the world.
Few sales roles in Australia offer this combination: genuine international scope, an established technical platform behind you, and a target big enough to change your trajectory. This is the kind of role where the relationships you build this year are still paying you in five years, and the network you walk away with is worth more than the commission cheque.
What you will own
- A $5 million annual new-business target across Australia and South East Asia, with real scope to chase global opportunities where the numbers stack up
- Direct relationships with major asset owners, OEMs, EPCs and industrial operators across multiple countries
- Senior stakeholders across reliability, maintenance, engineering, procurement and executive leadership
- Opportunities tied to outages, asset upgrades, reliability programs, critical spares and asset-life extension
- Commercial conversations from first contact through to proposal, negotiation and close
- A disciplined pipeline, forecast and account strategy that you build and defend
- Regular domestic and international travel wherever the opportunity takes you
What you will bring
- A genuine track record of building new revenue, not managing what already exists
- Industrial B2B experience across power, mining, oil and gas, LNG, engineering or rotating equipment
- The commercial instinct to know which opportunities are worth chasing and which are noise
- Confidence with senior executives, procurement leaders and engineers in the same week
- Deal discipline: qualification, forecasting, negotiation and CRM rigour
- A mechanical, engineering or heavy-industry background will be highly regarded
- A genuine appetite for international travel and building relationships across borders
Why this is worth your time
- $170,000–$200,000 + Super + Company Car or Car Allowance + Uncapped Commission
- A market with real white space and no artificial ceiling on what you can build
- Established technical credibility and OEM partnerships behind every conversation you start
- Genuine autonomy over strategy, territory and target accounts
- An international network that becomes a career asset well beyond this role
- A path into broader regional or global commercial leadership as the market grows
