As the business continues to grow, they are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to help drive the expansion of their Building Services division across South East Queensland.
Your new role
Reporting to senior leadership, you'll be responsible for identifying, estimating and securing current building services opportunities across South East Queensland.
You'll manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and relationship building through to estimating, proposal preparation, negotiation and project handover.
Key responsibilities include
- Building and managing a pipeline of new business opportunities
- Developing relationships with government, education, facilities and commercial clients
- Attending client meetings, site inspections and tender briefings
- Preparing estimates, quotations, proposals and tender submissions
- Reviewing project documentation,
drawings and specifications
- Negotiating commercial agreements and securing new work
- Maintaining CRM records, forecasts and pipeline reporting
- Working closely with operations to ensure projects are profitable and deliverable
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven business development, sales or account management experience within building services, construction, facilities management or a related sector
- Strong relationship-building and prospecting capability
- Experience preparing estimates, quotations or tenders
- Commercial acumen and negotiation skills
- Ability to interpret project documentation and specifications
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- Current Australian Driving Licence
Experience with government procurement, facilities management contracts, Department of Education projects, AroFlo or Indigenous procurement initiatives will be highly regarded.
