Business Development Manager | School Uniforms
UMS | Brisbane | Full time
$100,000 base + super + $15,000 car allowance or company car + incentives
About the role
We're looking for an experienced B2B salesperson to win recent school customers across Brisbane and west to Toowoomba.
Schools don't change uniform suppliers often. When they do, the decision usually involves the principal, the business manager, a committee and the uniform shop, and it can take a year or more. You'll need to find those schools early and earn their confidence. Once they're on board, you'll continue looking after them and developing the relationship over the years that follow.
There's an established portfolio to look after as well, and we'll expect you to grow it. New business comes first. You'll work directly with the General Manager and alongside our design, customer service and production teams.
Based at our Murarrie head office, you'll cover Brisbane's north, central and southern areas, extending west to Toowoomba, with regular travel to schools.

Who this suits You've personally found and won business that mattered to your employer, in a market where the customer takes their time. You've cold called and it didn't bother you. School-uniform experience is welcome. We're equally interested in relevant experience from other industries involving substantial customer relationships and considered purchasing decisions.
