About Us:

WeldConnect is based in Hemmant, and is in a significant growth phase. An opportunity currently exists for a highly motivated, customer centric, results driven Business Development Representative to focus on the Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast region.

WeldConnect has 2 divisions

- Oxy/Welding Set Safety Testing; and
- Workshop supplies.

Our edge is a customised APP that guides our technicians to test all our customers Oxy & Welding equipment to national regulations and Australian Standards. We then further support our customers with workshop supplies.

The Role:

Focussing on Oxy/Welding Set Testing, you will approach potential new customers that will utilise our safety testing expertise.

Main Duties:

- Prospecting sales zones to develop recent oxy/welding set testing, and build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Learn & demonstrate our customised APP , and enter relevant notes from all client interaction.
- Book your own appointments with new client prospects.
- Prompt preparation of Quotes, Sales Orders, & Invoices.
- Be a focused team member & work closely with our committed team.

Mandatory Requirements:





- A commitment to learn and understand two key standards being AS 4839-2001 (Oxy equipment), and AS 1674.2:2025 (Welding)
- Minimum 2 years as a business development skilled who closes deals with determination, persistence, drive, and energy.
- Excellent planning, time management, communication, and presentation skills.
- You are comfortable with technology and software applications - WeldConnect uses Apple products.
- Must have a current Australian full driver's licence.

Desirable:

- Expertise in welding equipment and consumables knowledge.
