Location: 31 Commercial Drive, Shailer Park, QLD 4128.
As a Business Support Team Leader, you will play a key role in leading the delivery of administrative, contract and business support services for Council's Transport Delivery Branch. Reporting within a dynamic infrastructure environment, this is an exciting opportunity to lead a skilled administration team while supporting the successful delivery of road, drainage and transport projects across the city.
This role provides leadership across a broad range of business functions, including customer service, contract administration, financial processes, records management, correspondence and stakeholder engagement. You will work closely with branch leaders, project teams, contractors and corporate support teams to ensure efficient, compliant and customer-focused service delivery.

Position Responsibilities include:
- Lead, motivate and develop the Transport Delivery Business Support Team.
- Coordinate and prioritise administrative support services across the branch.
- Oversee customer requests, correspondence, records management and reporting activities.
- Manage branch business systems including Finance One, Pathway, GIS, Outlook and records management platforms.
- Coordinate contract administration activities, including tenders, contract documentation, progress claims and contract registers.
- Support budget preparation, financial processes and reporting requirements.
- Conduct quality assurance activities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support effective service delivery.
- Assist with branch projects, events and operational activities as required.
- Manage Excellence in Performance processes, workload allocation and team performance outcomes.
Key indicators for success:
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing business support teams.
- Significant experience providing business support and contract support within a large organisation.
- Experience coordinating workflows, priorities and business processes to meet operational requirements.
- Strong knowledge of contract administration, procurement and financial processes.
- Experience supporting construction, infrastructure, engineering or local government operations is highly regarded.
- Well-developed problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement and service excellence.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare reports, correspondence and meeting documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Experience with corporate business systems, records management and financial applications.
- Sound understanding of budgeting processes and financial management principles.
- Certificate IV in Business or a related discipline is highly desirable.
- Current working rights for Australia.
- Ability to obtain a satisfactory National Police History Check.
- Ability to provide satisfactory results for all employment-related background checks.
