About the Role

As a Cargo Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day coordination of our cargo operation, helping ensure freight is moved safely, efficiently and on time.

Working in a fast-paced aviation environment, you’ll coordinate team members within your designated operational area, allocate work and help ensure safety, service, productivity and performance targets are achieved.

You’ll be part of a team of four Cargo Coordinators, working closely with our Duty Managers to respond to changing priorities, solve operational challenges and keep the operation running smoothly.

Currently, the operation primarily runs overnight, so this role requires regular overnight work. As the operation evolves, the team will rotate across both day and overnight operations.

Most importantly, this is a hands-on people leadership role.



You’ll provide direction, coaching and support to team members on shift, helping create a high-performing culture where safety, accountability, teamwork and exceptional service are at the forefront.

Skills and Experience

- Demonstrated leadership experience, ideally within freight, warehousing, aviation or ground handling operations
- A strong safety-first mindset and commitment to safe and compliant operations
- The ability to lead, support and motivate team members in a fast-paced operational environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- The ability to multi-task, prioritise and meet deadlines while managing competing operational demands
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the initiative to solve problems
- The ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
- A valid Australian Driver’s Licence
- The ability to obtain and maintain a valid Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
- The ability to obtain and maintain a valid Airside Driving Authority (ADA)

- Demonstrated leadership experience, ideally within freight, warehousing, logistics, aviation or ground handling operations.
- A valid Australian Driver’s Licence
- Ability to obtain and hold a valid Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
- Ability to obtain and hold a valid Airside Driving Authority (ADA)
- Fluent in English, excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Competent in the operational requirements of Ground Handling (ideal)
- Working understanding of the Aviation Industry
- Excellent organisation and time management skills to ensure protected and compliant operations with schedule pressures
- Strong ability to multi-task, prioritise and meet deadlines
