BG Group NQ Pty Ltd is an established construction company operating across North Queensland since 1999, delivering high-quality industrial, commercial, and government projects. We are seeking a qualified and experienced Carpenter to join our team on a full-time basis.

Position Overview

This role involves carrying out a broad range of carpentry and construction duties across commercial and industrial projects. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high-quality workmanship in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and deadlines.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Interpret and work from technical drawings, plans, and specifications
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials with precision
- Install frameworks, partitions, floors, doors, windows, and fixtures
- Construct, install, and repair structures of various materials
- Carry out finishing work including fitting, trimming, and detailing
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Ensure all work complies with building codes, standards, and project requirements
- Work collaboratively within a team and follow direction from supervisors




- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with WHS requirements
- Identify and report defects, hazards, or non-conformances

Skills and Experience Required

- Relevant trade qualification in Carpentry (Certificate III or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years post-trade experience in commercial construction
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Licences and Tickets (Mandatory)

- Construction White Card
- Drivers Licence

Desirable

- Experience in commercial construction projects
- Additional tickets such as Working at Heights, Confined Space, or similar
- Own vehicle & tools

Pay: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
