Financial Controller About Amalgamated Property Group n

Amalgamated Property Group (APG) is a privately owned Canberra-based property development and investment business with a diverse portfolio spanning residential, commercial and build-to-rent developments.

As APG's business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our leadership team and play a key role in supporting the financial performance, governance and strategic direction of the group.

The Opportunity n

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead financial reporting, cashflow and treasury management, compliance, budgeting, forecasting and commercial analysis across a diverse portfolio of entities.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys partnering with senior stakeholders and contributing to strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities n

n
- Lead month-end and year-end financial reporting processes
n
- Prepare consolidated management and statutory reports
n
- Manage cashflow forecasting, treasury and funding requirements
n
- Oversee taxation, compliance and regulatory obligations
n
- Support budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning activities
n




- Provide financial analysis to support development and investment decisions
n
- Maintain strong financial controls and governance frameworks
n
- Drive process improvements and support finance team development
n

About You n

You will bring:

n

n
- CA or CPA qualification
n
- Experience in a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or Senior Accountant role
n
- Strong financial reporting, compliance and cashflow management expertise
n
- Advanced Xero and Excel skills
n
- Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills
n
- High attention to detail and organisational capability
n

n

Property, development, construction or real estate industry experience will be highly regarded.
