About the role

As Senior Manager, Monitoring, you will lead a key Line 1 risk function within the Monitoring, Controls and Governance (MCG) team providing end-to-end oversight of technology risk across technology operations, cyber security, service and enterprise delivery and infrastructure teams at CBUS. You will also provide oversight of Technology risks and controls, supporting informed decision-making, effective escalation and the Chief Technology Officer’s accountability obligations.

This role is important because it maintains a clear and credible view of technology’s risk profile, strengthens the controls environment and ensures incidents, breaches and remediation activities are managed effectively. You will lead the team, partner across Technology and will work constructively with Line 2, Regulatory Affairs and Service Providers to embed risk ownership and build a strong sustainable risk culture.

Key Accountabilities

- Lead the identification and assessment of existing, emerging and change-related Technology risks, maintaining a high-quality risk register and clear risk and control ownership
- Monitor risk appetite and manage out-of-tolerance positions, including treatment plans, escalation, effectiveness checks and closure
- Lead the triage,



root-cause analysis and remediation of material operational or regulatory incidents and breaches affecting members or critical services
- Deliver clear, evidence-based risk and compliance reporting for executive, enterprise governance and Board forums
- Lead and develop the Technology Risk and Compliance team, strengthening risk capability, accountability and collaboration across Technology, Line 2 and key service providers

What will you bring?

- Experience in a similar Senior Manager role in Risk, Audit, Assurance or Compliance, ideally within Superannuation or Financial Services
- Demonstrated experience in Line 1 risk ownership, control monitoring, remediation oversight and regulatory or prudential risk management
- The ability to lead risk assessments, improve control environments and manage out of tolerance risks across multiple teams and third-party providers
- Solid stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to produce clear, consistent and evidence-based executive and governance reporting
- Tertiary qualifications in technology, information security or related discipline with CRISC, CISM, CISSP or equivalent certification desirable
