We’re looking for someone who knows their way around a coffee machine, can handle a busy service without losing their cool and takes pride in every cup that leaves the pass.

THE ROLE

As a Barista at Suzy’s, you’ll be responsible for delivering consistently great coffee while keeping the bar running smoothly and efficiently throughout service.

You’ll be responsible for

- Preparing high-quality coffee consistently to Suzy’s standards
- Confidently operating a commercial espresso machine and grinder
- Dialling in and adjusting coffee throughout service
- Producing a high volume of coffee efficiently during busy periods
- Maintaining consistency across espresso, milk texturing and presentation including latte art
- Preparing a range of coffees, including alternative milk orders
- Keeping the coffee station clean, organised and fully stocked throughout service
- Monitoring coffee quality and communicating any issues with the team
- Working efficiently alongside FOH and kitchen teams
- Communicating clearly with the floor team during busy services
- Ensuring all drinks leave the bar looking their best
- Assisting with opening and closing barista duties
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety
- Jumping in and supporting the wider team wherever needed

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? We’re looking for someone who knows coffee and gets hospitality.

Someone who can walk into a busy service,



find their rhythm and keep the coffees coming without compromising on quality.

You’ll ideally have

- Previous experience as a Barista in a busy café or restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of espresso coffee and milk preparation
- Experience using a commercial coffee machine and grinder
- Confidence dialling in coffee and making adjustments throughout service
- The ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and a genuine pride in your work
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A positive, energetic and team-focused attitude
- A professional and well-presented appearance
- A strong understanding of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety
- A genuine passion for coffee and hospitality
- Availability to work across weekends and public holidays as required
