CASUAL BARISTA

Turquoise Cafe Mandurah is looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and passionate Casual Barista to join our team!

We’re looking for someone who genuinely loves coffee and hospitality, has a positive attitude and takes pride in creating great drinks and great experiences for our customers. The ideal candidate will be confident behind the coffee machine, comfortable working in a busy café workplace and happy to jump in and help wherever needed.

About the role:

- Preparing and serving high-quality coffee consistently
- Operating the coffee machine and grinder confidently
- Dialling in coffee and maintaining consistent coffee quality
- Preparing a range of coffees and other beverages
- Working efficiently during busy service periods
- Maintaining a clean, organised and well-presented coffee station
- Restocking the bar and coffee area throughout service
- Communicating effectively with the FOH and kitchen teams
- Providing friendly and welcoming customer service
- Assisting with opening and closing duties
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Working as part of a team to ensure smooth service
- Jumping in and helping wherever needed during busy periods

What we’re looking for: To be successful in this role, you will have:





- Previous barista experience in a café or hospitality environment
- A genuine passion for coffee and hospitality
- Confidence using a commercial coffee machine and grinder
- Experience preparing a high volume of coffees during busy periods
- Good knowledge of coffee and milk preparation
- A bubbly, enthusiastic and approachable personality
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm during busy periods
- Someone who takes pride in their coffee, work and presentation
- A reliable team player with a positive attitude
- A strong understanding of cleanliness and food safety
- Availability to work weekends
- A current and valid RSA
