Vitium Cura is seeking a reliable and compassionate Disability Support Worker to provide 1:1 support to an adult NDIS participant located in Labrador, Gold Coast.

The participant is Deaf and communicates using Auslan, so applicants with Auslan skills or experience supporting Deaf or hard-of-hearing participants are highly encouraged to apply.

About the Role The role focuses on 1:1 community access, social and recreational activities, while supporting the participant to maintain independence and engagement in the community.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide 1:1 community access, social and recreational support
- Promote independence and meaningful community participation
- Communicate using Auslan, basic signs,



gestures and appropriate communication aids
- Provide calm, respectful and person-centred support
- Follow relevant support plans and strategies
- Complete shift notes and required documentation

Requirements

- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- First Aid & CPR
- Police Check
- Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- Disability support experience
- Auslan skills or experience supporting Deaf/hard-of-hearing participants highly desirable

Location: Labrador, QLD

Employment: Casual

Start: ASAP

Pay: $37.00 – $42.00 per hour
