Join the Vivid Media Team – Event Hosts Wanted!

Love events, technology, photography and working with people? Vivid Media is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Event Hosts to join our team, helping us deliver photo booths and interactive entertainment at events across Perth.

This isn’t just a “stand next to a photo booth” role. Our Event Hosts are responsible for setting up, operating and troubleshooting a range of technology-based event products, while providing great customer service and making sure guests have an awesome experience.

We work at everything from corporate events and awards nights to sporting events, school balls, weddings, festivals and major activations across Perth.

Availability – Please Read

You must be regularly available on Fridays and Saturdays, particularly Friday and Saturday evenings.

These are our busiest event days and are a major requirement of the position. There may also be work during the week, on Sundays and during daytime events, but Friday and Saturday availability is particularly important.

Our busiest period is generally October through December, when additional hours are often available.

Hours vary depending on the season and can average approximately 3–12+ hours per week. Most event shifts are around 4–8 hours, commonly starting between 3:30pm and 6:00pm and finishing between 10:00pm and midnight.

We also have the occasional Warehouse Wednesdays, where staff help reset equipment after events, prepare for upcoming bookings and learn how to operate new products.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for collecting photo booths and interactive equipment from our Osborne Park warehouse, transporting it to the event, setting everything up correctly and operating the equipment throughout the booking.

At the end of the event, you'll pack everything down and return the equipment to our warehouse.

Depending on the event, you may work independently or alongside other Vivid Media team members.

Our events take place throughout both North and South of the River, so you need to be comfortable travelling around Perth.





There are also occasional opportunities for regional travel to locations including Karratha, Tom Price, Port Hedland, Paraburdoo, Broome, Geraldton and Onslow.

What You'll Be Doing

Your responsibilities will include setting up and packing down photo booths and interactive equipment, operating equipment throughout events, assisting guests, distributing prints and helping guests access their digital photos.

You'll also be responsible for monitoring equipment and identifying and resolving minor technical problems during events.

This could include troubleshooting computers, checking cables and connections, reconnecting equipment, diagnosing printer issues, changing printer media, checking Wi-Fi or network connections, connecting devices and understanding why a piece of equipment isn't communicating correctly.

Some of our products also use Cannon DSLR cameras, so confidence using Cannon DSLR camera equipment is highly desirable.

Most importantly, you'll interact with guests and help create a fun, skilled and memorable experience.

We're Looking for Someone Who Is

18 years or older, as many of our events are held in licensed venues so we can not have people under the age of 18.

Reliable, punctual and organised with excellent time-management skills.

Regularly available Friday and Saturday evenings.

Available for some additional evening, weekend and occasional weekday work.

A current driver’s licence holder, preferably with reliable access to a suitable vehicle, to get yourself to and from events and our Osborne Park warehouse.

Friendly, outgoing and confident communicating with guests, clients, venue staff and other suppliers.

Comfortable working at busy events and able to remain professional around weddings,



corporate functions and licensed venues.

Technical Skills Are Important

We're particularly interested in people who are confident with computers and technology and enjoy figuring out how things work.

You don't need to be an IT technician, but you should be comfortable troubleshooting problems rather than immediately giving up when something doesn't work.

Experience or confidence with things such as Windows computers, printers, USB connections, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cables, device connections and basic software troubleshooting would be highly regarded.

DSLR camera experience is also highly desirable, particularly experience using Canon cameras.

If you've ever been the person everyone calls when the printer won't work, the computer won't connect or something technical needs figuring out, you could be exactly who we're looking for!

Physical Requirements

This is an events role, so there is a physical component.

You must be comfortable regularly lifting and moving equipment weighing approximately 15–25kg, loading and unloading vehicles and setting up equipment at different venues.
