CHC Australia is looking for a caring male Support Worker to support a 17-year-old young man living with Autism (ASD Level 3) and intellectual disability in Woodridge.

To respect the client's cultural and religious needs, this role requires a male worker of the Islamic faith who understands Islamic practices. This is a genuine occupational requirement of the role.

Shifts

- Two weekdays – 4 hours per shift
- Saturdays – 5 hours
- Total approx. 13 hours per week

Key responsibilities

- Provide person-centred support in line with the participant's NDIS plan and goals
- Assist with daily living skills, routines and community participation
- Support communication and emotional regulation using positive behaviour support strategies
- Maintain a protected, calm and respectful environment




- Complete shift notes and report incidents accurately and on time

Essential requirements

- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Certificate III/IV in Individual Support, Disability or related field
- Experience supporting people with Autism, intellectual disability or complex behaviours
- Current driver's licence and own reliable vehicle
- Right to work in Australia
- Strong communication skills, patience and reliability

Pay: $45.28 per hour
