Casual Position

Last Chance Tavern is looking for a reliable and hands-on Maintenance & Grounds Person to join our team on a casual basis.

This role would suit someone who enjoys practical work, can work independently and is happy to turn their hand to a variety of general maintenance, cleaning and outdoor tasks.

About the Role

You will be responsible for helping maintain the tavern, outdoor areas and surrounding grounds to ensure the venue is kept clean, safe and presentable.

Your duties may include

- General yard and grounds maintenance

- Mowing, whipper snipping, weeding and general garden maintenance

- Cleaning and maintaining outdoor areas

- General handyman and minor maintenance tasks around the venue

- Minor repairs to fixtures, fittings, doors, furniture and equipment

- Painting and basic property upkeep

- Pressure cleaning and general outdoor cleaning

- Rubbish removal and keeping waste areas tidy

- Moving furniture, equipment and supplies as required

- Identifying maintenance issues and reporting larger repairs to management

- Assisting with general jobs around the property as required

- Ensuring work areas are kept clean and safe

Any electrical, plumbing or other work requiring a licensed tradesperson will be completed by appropriately qualified contractors.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

- Is reliable,



punctual and takes pride in their work

- Is practical and confident completing basic maintenance and handyman tasks

- Is comfortable working outdoors in Pilbara conditions

- Can work independently and manage their time effectively

- Has a good understanding of workplace health and safety

- Is physically capable of undertaking manual and outdoor work

- Has their own driver's licence

- Has previous maintenance, grounds, handyman, construction or similar experience – highly regarded

- Is flexible with availability depending on maintenance requirements
