About the role

We are seeking a Casual Sales Assistant to join the team at Clark Rubber Southport. This is a casual position offering flexible working arrangements that will suit those looking for part-time or variable hours work. Based in Southport QLD 4215, you will be at the heart of our retail operations, providing exceptional customer service and supporting the smooth running of our store.

This role is ideal for individuals seeking to develop their retail experience whilst maintaining flexibility in their schedule.

What you'll be doing

- Greeting customers warmly and providing friendly, attentive service throughout their shopping experience
- Processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale systems
- Assisting customers with product selection and answering questions about our merchandise
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and well-organised store environment
- Restocking shelves and displays with merchandise, ensuring products are presented attractively
- Supporting inventory management activities as required
- Handling customer enquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner
- Collaborating with team members to ensure a positive shopping experience for all customers

What we're looking for

- Previous retail or customer service experience (preferred but not essential)
- Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for helping customers
- Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to be flexible with casual shift patterns




- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop within a retail workplace
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Basic numeracy skills for handling cash and transactions
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift merchandise as required
