Lead the growth of clinical research across a multi-site catchment Ramsay Research & Development Network is expanding its clinical trials and research capability, and we’re looking for an experienced clinical research leader to join us as Catchment Research Manager across our RRDN units at Hollywood Private Hospital and Joondalup Private Hospital.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role with responsibility for supporting and growing clinical trials and research across a number of Ramsay sites. Working closely with the National Research Team, Hospital Executives, Principal Investigators, Sponsors and clinical teams, you’ll help build high-performing research capability while ensuring each site delivers a high-quality experience for patients, clinicians and research partners.

At the heart of the role is the development of a strong, collaborative catchment model that brings together talented clinical research professionals, building capability across sites and creating an environment where research can thrive.

What you’ll do

You’ll take a broad view of the catchment, balancing people leadership, operational performance, research growth, stakeholder engagement and financial management.

Your responsibilities will include

- Lead the development and growth of clinical trials and research capability across multiple Ramsay sites.
- Build and lead a high-performing research team, including identifying workforce capability gaps and developing the skills and capacity required across the catchment.
- Develop strong relationships with Hospital Executives, doctors, Principal Investigators, Sponsors, clinical teams and external service providers.
- Identify opportunities to expand therapeutic areas, increase patient recruitment and strengthen each site’s clinical trials capability.
- Promote the clinical trials units within hospitals and the broader community, including through research networks,



universities and relevant industry groups.
- Work collaboratively with the National Research Team to support the broader growth and strategy of the Ramsay Research & Development Network.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the clinical trials units, ensuring high-quality service delivery and support for patient care.
- Manage catchment budgets, revenue, invoicing, contracts and service-level arrangements.
- Maintain strong quality, governance and risk management practices, ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), relevant regulatory requirements and Ramsay standards.
- Drive continuous improvement across processes, systems and ways of working.
- Develop onboarding, training and professional development opportunities for research team members.
- Establish a positive, collaborative and proactive research culture across the catchment.

About you You’ll be an experienced clinical research leader who understands what it takes to establish and operate a high-functioning clinical trials unit in a complex environment.

You’ll bring

- A qualification in Science, Research, Nursing or Allied Health.
- Senior-level experience managing clinical trials and research site operations, ideally within the private healthcare sector.
- A strong understanding of the operational, people, financial and governance requirements of a successful clinical trials unit.
- Experience managing a budget, financial performance or business unit within a complex organisation.
- Demonstrated experience in quality and process improvement, with a robust focus on customer and stakeholder experience.
- The ability to build trusted relationships with clinicians, Principal Investigators, Sponsors, clinical teams and external partners.




- Strong communication, organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to work across multiple sites and competing priorities.
- A commitment to high professional standards, research integrity and the safe and ethical conduct of clinical research.

Experience in business, research protocol development, data analysis or working with investigator-initiated research will also be highly regarded. What’s in it for You:
