Business Controller/Commercial Finance Manager

We are seeking an experienced Business Controller to support the next phase of growth for our ANZ business.

About the role

Reporting directly to the Managing Director Australia, this role serves as a key member of the leadership team and acts as the financial co-pilot to the business. You'll play a critical role in driving financial performance, supporting strategic decision‑making, improving business processes and ensuring strong governance across the organisation. The role also provides leadership across financial operations, business controlling and local IT governance activities.

Key responsibilities

- Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities
- Deliver financial insights and recommendations to improve business performance
- Develop and monitor KPIs across the organisation
- Provide commercial support throughout project lifecycles
- Conduct variance analysis and profitability assessments
- Prepare management, board and statutory reporting
- Ensure compliance with taxation,



statutory and corporate requirements
- Monitor cash flow and working capital performance
- Liaise with external auditors, banks and financial partners
- Support organisational change and continuous improvement initiatives
- Coordinate local IT governance and support with regional teams.

To be successful you will possess:

- CPA or CA qualification
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or Commerce
- Minimum 10 years' experience in Business Controlling, Commercial Finance or Financial Leadership roles
- Strong understanding of project‑based businesses and commercial environments
- Experience within multinational organisations
- Advanced SAP and Power BI capability
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability
- Ability to influence and support executive decision‑making
- A proactive and adaptable leadership style
