About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Medical Science Liaison (MSL) specializing in Oncology to cover the Eastern Cape region. This hybrid role requires extensive travel to engage with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in healthcare institutions and research centers, balanced with remote work for data analysis, reporting, and team collaboration. You will serve as a critical scientific and medical resource, disseminating cutting‑edge information on our client's oncology portfolio and gathering valuable insights from the medical community. The ideal candidate has a strong scientific background and exceptional communication skills, acting as a vital link between the company and the oncology medical field.

Key Responsibilities

- Build and maintain robust relationships with oncology Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals.
- Disseminate complex scientific and clinical information regarding oncology products.
- Gather and report insights from KOLs on therapeutic trends, clinical practice, and unmet needs.
- Support clinical trial activities and investigator-initiated studies within the assigned territory.




- Deliver scientific presentations and respond to unsolicited medical inquiries.
- Represent the company at medical congresses and scientific meetings.

Requirements

- Advanced scientific degree (Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D.) in a relevant life science field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an MSL or in a related medical affairs role.
- In‑depth knowledge of Oncology therapeutic area and current treatment paradigms.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory and work effectively in a hybrid model.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance guidelines governing medical affairs.
