We're partnering with a well-established and growing mining organisation to appoint a Senior Financial Accountant into a newly created position. This represents an exceptional opportunity for an accountant currently working within the WA mining sector who is looking to maintain a career in resources while enjoying a more stable lifestyle and long-term career platform in Victoria. With substantial investment, increasing reporting requirements and continued growth, the business is looking to hire a technically strong finance professional to help establish and support a critical reporting function.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this newly created role will provide significant exposure to executive leadership, international finance stakeholders and complex group reporting requirements.

- Leading quarterly and annual group consolidation processes
- Preparing consolidation schedules and reporting packs
- Managing month-end and year-end reporting activities
- Supporting annual audit requirements and external stakeholder queries
- Applying IFRS accounting standards across technical reporting matters
- Building relationships with international finance teams and senior stakeholders
- Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes and controls
- Supporting technical accounting and statutory reporting requirements

This role will suit someone who enjoys technical accounting, ownership and stakeholder engagement,



while wanting broader exposure than a traditional Senior Financial Accountant position.

About You

To be successful, you will bring:

- CA qualified (or CPA with strong technical reporting experience)
- Demonstrated experience in financial reporting and consolidations
- Solid IFRS and technical accounting knowledge
- Experience supporting external audits
- Advanced Excel capability
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive and hands-on approach

Mining, resources, energy or other asset-intensive industry experience will be highly regarded.

Prior exposure to international reporting structures or group consolidations will also be viewed favourably.
