Program Manager (Workplace Violence and Aggression)

Lead strategic safety outcomes across a complex and diverse organisation The Department of Justice is seeking an experienced and strategic leader to oversee and advance its Workplace Violence and Aggression Program. This influential role is responsible for driving the department's strategic approach to preventing and managing workplace violence and aggression risks, supporting safer workplaces and improving outcomes for employees across a broad range of operational and corporate environments.

As Manager, Workplace Violence and Aggression, you will provide leadership for a maturing, department-wide program focused on strengthening risk management practices, enhancing organisational capability and driving continuous improvement. Working closely with executives, operational leaders and specialist stakeholders, you will identify emerging risks, influence strategic decision-making and support the implementation of effective prevention and response strategies.

In this role, you will:

- Lead the ongoing development,



implementation and evaluation of the department's Workplace Violence and Aggression Program.
- Drive strategic initiatives that strengthen organisational capability to prevent, manage and respond to violence and aggression risks.
- Provide high-level expert advice and recommendations to executives and senior leaders on complex workplace violence and aggression management matters.
- Oversee the delivery and continuous improvement of training programs and resources that support consistent and effective management of workplace violence and aggression risks.
- Build strong partnerships across the department and with external stakeholders to influence outcomes and support program objectives.
- Use data, insights and evidence to monitor performance and inform strategic priorities.

What we're looking for

You will be a highly capable leader with experience delivering strategic programs in work health and safety, risk management, security or a related discipline. You will be comfortable working in complex environments, navigating competing priorities and influencing outcomes at senior levels.

To be successful, you will bring:

- Proven experience leading strategic, organisational risk management programs or initiatives.
- Experience identifying, analysing and managing strategic and operational workplace violence and aggression risk.
- Demonstrated experience providing authoritative advice on complex workplace violence and aggression matters to senior leaders.
- Robust strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change and achieve outcomes through collaboration and partnership.
