Cloud & DevOps Engineer - NV1 Required

n

Contract Duration: 3 Months (with potential extension)

n

Location: Primarily Melbourne (Hybrid) / open to Canberra and Adelaide based candidates

About the Role n

We are seeking a Cloud & DevOps Engineer for a 3-month contract (with potential extension) .

n

Melbourne Candidates: Hybrid mode (3 days/week on-site).

n
- n

Other Locations: Work from home allowed, with occasional visits to a local office as required.

n
- n

On-Call: Roster-based rotation (approximately once every 4 to 5 weeks).

n

Key Responsibilities n

n
- n

Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage scalable, reliable, and secure AWS infrastructure (EC2, RDS, ElastiCache, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, S3).

n
- n

DevOps & Automation: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, and Packer to automate releases and infrastructure provisioning.

n
- n

Monitoring & Maintenance: Implement and maintain Elastic Stack (ELK) monitoring solutions to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.

n
- n

Containerization: Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and/or OpenShift.

n
- n

Scripting & Linux Admin: Perform Linux (RHEL) server-side administration and write automation scripts using Bash or Python.

n
- n

Application Support: Work with PHP-based application environments.

n
- n

Security & Compliance:



Enforce IAM, network security, data protection, and compliance best practices across cloud environments.

n
- n

Support & Documentation: Provide advanced troubleshooting for production issues and maintain detailed infrastructure documentation.

n

Key Requirements & Qualifications n

n
- n

Clearance: Must hold an Active NV1 Clearance .

n
- n

Experience: Junior to Intermediate level (Minimum 5 years in Cloud & DevOps roles, with strong hands-on AWS experience).

n
- n

Tech Stack:

Cloud: AWS (EC2, RDS, ElastiCache, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, S3)

DevOps/IaC: Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Packer

- n

Containers: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift

OS & Scripting: Linux (RHEL), Bash, Python

n
- n

Monitoring: Elastic Stack (ELK)

- n

App Stack: Experience with PHP environments

- n

Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or a related field. AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
