We are thrilled to be partnering with BUMA Australia to find their next HR Manager who will provide trusted, commercially focused People & Culture advice across a complex operational environment. This is a senior HR partnering role with a strong emphasis on industrial relations, including enterprise bargaining, workforce risk and complex people matters.

n

You will partner closely with operational leaders, site-based HR Business Partners and senior stakeholders, while also contributing to strategic projects, tendering, due diligence and other critical HR activities.

Key Responsibilities n

n
- Lead complex ER/IR matters, including disputes, grievances, disciplinary processes, investigations, redundancies and organisational change;
n
- Lead enterprise bargaining and industrial negotiations, including agreement strategy, union engagement and implementation;
n
- Provide expert advice on enterprise agreements, awards, employment legislation, contracts and industrial risk;
n
- Act as a senior escalation point for complex ER/HR matters, providing commercially balanced and risk-aware advice;
n
- Identify and mitigate workforce, industrial and organisational risks, with clear governance and escalation pathways;
n
- Develop workforce strategies aligned to operational priorities, labour demand, capability, productivity and succession;
n
- Lead people components of key projects, including growth, restructuring, transformation, and due diligence;
n
- Support tendering and commercial projects through workforce analysis, data interpretation and people-related due diligence;
n
- Lead workforce transformation and culture change initiatives to enhance capability, strengthen culture and drive business performance; and
n




- Partner with HSE and operations to integrate people, safety, industrial and operational priorities.

The Ideal Candidate n

You will be a strategic and commercially minded HR professional with strong ER/IR expertise, confident operating as a senior escalation point in a complex workplace. You will combine industrial judgement with strong stakeholder management, analytical capability and a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach.

Key Requirements n

n
- Advanced employee and industrial relations expertise, including enterprise bargaining and union engagement;
n
- Senior HR experience within mining, resources, construction, heavy industry or complex operational environments;
n
- Demonstrated experience managing complex ER/IR matters and industrial risk;
n
- Proven experience advising senior executives and operational leaders on high-risk people matters;
n
- Strong capability across employee investigations, organisational change and workforce planning;
n
- Commercially astute with strong data, financial and analytical capability, particularly for tendering and business projects;
n
- Exceptional negotiation, influencing, coaching and stakeholder management skills; and
n
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Employment Law, Business or a related discipline.
