Business Development Manager – AI & Data Consulting

Firesoft Services helps organisations move from AI ideas and disconnected pilots to practical, governed solutions that can scale. We’re looking for a commercially minded Business Development Manager who can open doors, build trusted client relationships and turn opportunities in AI and data into real consulting work.

This is a hands-on new business role. You’ll work with clients from the first conversation through to defining the opportunity, shaping the engagement and bringing the right expertise around the table.

What you’ll do

- Build a pipeline of new business across AI, data, analytics and automation.
- Develop relationships with executives, technology leaders and business owners.
- Lead discovery conversations to understand business priorities, data foundations, risks and delivery challenges.
- Identify opportunities for AI health checks, data and AI strategy, architecture, governance and roadmaps.
- Work alongside our AI and architecture specialists to shape practical proofs of concept and pilots.
- Help clients define the business case, scope, stakeholders and next steps for each engagement.
- Keep opportunities moving from initial conversation through proposal, agreement and delivery handover.
- Build long-term client relationships and identify where further delivery support or specialist talent can help.

The work you’ll help bring to clients

Our work spans three connected areas:

- Advise: AI health checks, strategy, governance and executive guidance.
- Build: Use case discovery, architecture, proofs of concept and production-ready pilots.
- Scale:



Specialist capability across AI, data, cloud and software engineering.

We focus on commercially useful outcomes, sound governance and solutions that work with a client’s existing environment.

What you’ll bring

- A strong record of winning recent business in consulting, technology services or a related field.
- Experience selling or developing opportunities across AI, data, analytics, cloud or digital transformation.
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and leading consultative sales conversations.
- The ability to connect business problems with technical possibilities and commercial outcomes.
- Skill in building a pipeline, managing opportunities and following through to close.
- Curiosity about AI and data, with the judgement to keep conversations grounded in real business needs.
- An entrepreneurial approach and the drive to help grow a services business.

You don’t need to be the person building every solution. You do need the commercial judgement to recognise a valuable problem, bring the right people into the conversation and help the client move forward with confidence.
