Maitland Indoor Sports Centre has been part of the local community for decades. Competition nights are packed, the courts are full, and with Inflatable World on weekends there's always something happening. We're a quick-paced, high-energy venue for players, families and the wider community, and we want a Centre Manager who brings that same energy every shift.

About the role

This is a floor role, not a desk job. You'll bring the same drive you use to grow a club's membership base to our registrations, bookings and sponsorships across two brands under one roof. You'll report directly to the General Manager and take full ownership of your KPIs and your people: performance, culture and results.

What you'll own

- Sales and retention: team registrations, Inflatable World bookings and sponsorship. Think memberships, conversions and cutting churn, applied to sport and events.
- Leading the team: a mixed crew of senior and junior staff, plus our umpire team. You set the standard and hold people to it.
- The member experience: service standards, complaints and making sure players and families keep coming back.
- Day-to-day operations: stock, fixtures, repairs and maintenance, all within budget.
- Tough conversations: performance management when it's needed, and holding the line with long-standing players who have strong opinions.
- Socials: responding directly or delegating content.

About you

- You've managed a gym,



fitness club, leisure centre or similar venue and can show us the numbers: memberships, conversions, retention, revenue.
- Commission-based sales background: you've been paid to sell and you've delivered.
- You've led a mixed team of senior and junior staff to targets, not just managed a roster.
- You're confident and outgoing, a genuine people person who builds rapport fast with players, parents and staff.
- You can hold the line. Calm, firm and consistent, even when someone who's been around for 20 years tests the new manager.
- You're confident with technology, including Microsoft 365 and CRM or booking systems.
- You're looking for a long-term role where you can build something, not a stepping stone.

Hours

- Full-time, 38 hours a week.
- Mainly Monday to Thursday, within an 8am to 8pm window.
- Plus a short weekend shift, alternating Saturday and Sunday, so the weekend team knows their manager.
