We are looking for an experienced Chef/Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate should have valuable experience preparing authentic Indian curries /sweets preferable and cooking in bulk quantities while maintaining consistent taste and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare a variety of Indian curries/Sweets

Handle bulk cooking orders

Prepare or Ready to learn learn a wide variety of Indian sweets, mithai and traditional desserts.

Handle preparation of hot and cold Indian desserts as per menu requirements.

- Maintain consistency in taste, texture, colour, portion size and presentation.
- Measure and use ingredients accurately to maintain standard recipes.
- Monitor cooking temperatures, sugar consistency and preparation techniques.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of raw materials and finished products.
- Maintain sufficient mise-en-place for daily operations and events.
- Coordinate with the Chef and kitchen team regarding daily production requirements.
- Minimize wastage through proper production planning and ingredient utilization.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the Halwai section,



equipment and work area.
- Follow HACCP, food safety, hygiene and hotel SOP standards.
- Ensure proper labelling, dating and storage of prepared items.
- Check the quality and freshness of ingredients before use.
- Assist in menu planning and development of new sweets and dessert items.
- Support banquet functions, buffets, festivals and special events as required.
- Train and guide Commis and junior kitchen staff in Halwai preparations.
- Maintain proper inventory levels and inform the Chef of shortages or requirements.

Requirements: Previous commercial kitchen experience with Indian curries and bulk cooking is preferred. The applicant should be reliable, organized, able to work efficiently during busy periods and comfortable preparing food in larger quantities. Job Type: Full-time
