CHEF / COOK – FULL TIME

Tungamah Hotel – Tungamah, Victoria

Tungamah Hotel is looking for an experienced and reliable Chef or Cook to join our friendly team.

We are a busy country pub serving traditional pub meals, steaks, seafood, burgers, pizzas and weekly specials. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their food, works well as part of a team and can confidently work in a busy kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook meals to a consistent, high standard
- Assist with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Food preparation and service for lunch and dinner
- Maintain food quality, presentation and portion control
- Assist with menu preparation and daily specials
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering
- Follow food safety, hygiene and cleaning requirements
- Keep the kitchen and food preparation areas clean and organised
- Work efficiently during busy service periods
- Work cooperatively with kitchen, bar and front-of-house staff
- Assist with functions and group bookings when required

About You We are looking for someone who:




- Has previous experience working as a Chef or Cook in a commercial kitchen
- Is reliable, organised and able to work independently
- Can work calmly and efficiently during busy services
- Has a valuable understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene
- Takes pride in the quality and presentation of meals
- Has good communication and teamwork skills
- Is available to work a flexible roster, including evenings and weekends

Chef qualifications are preferred for Chef applicants; however, experienced Cooks are also encouraged to apply. Position: Full TimeLocation: Tungamah, VictoriaSalary: Negotiable depending on qualifications and experience
