About the role

Run assigned civil construction work fronts. Plan the shift, allocate crews and plant, lead prestarts, and keep safety, quality and production under control. You are the on-shift leader for permits, interfaces, materials and client requirements. You report to the Superintendent and the Construction Manager.

Key responsibilities

- Lead the crew: set the daily plan, allocate operators and labour, and keep the front moving

- HSE: lead prestarts, enforce exclusion zones and stop-work, report hazards and incidents, and hold the crew to site rules

- Permits and access: confirm work fronts, excavation / PTW and client access before work starts

- Quality and ITPs: coordinate ITP hold and witness points, inspections and as-built / quality records with the site team and client

- Production: match plant, materials and people to the programme; flag delays, interfaces and resource gaps the same day

- People: induct current starters onto the front,



check tickets and task competence before allocation, and back the Leading Hand

- Client and interfaces: work to drawings, levels and site instructions; raise unclear design or scope before the crew proceeds

- Close-out of the shift: progress, plant, delays, H&S; and any instructions given or received

About you

- Minimum 5 years as a Civil Supervisor (or equivalent) on similar civil earthworks, undergrounds works

- White Card (essential)

- Proven HSE leadership on a live construction site

- Experience coordinating quality / ITPs, not only pushing production

- Ability to lead a multi-discipline crew (operators, labour, subcontract interfaces) on an oil and gas construction project
