Claims Support Officer

We’re looking for a Claims Operations Support Officer to join our Personal Injury Claims Operations team in Sydney. In this role, you’ll support customers, claims teams and business partners through a mix of customer service, claims administration and operational support activities within a fast-paced Contact Centre environment.

This is a full-time, 12-month contract opportunity based in Sydney. Salary $82,800.

What you’ll do

- Be the first point of contact for customer enquiries across a range of Personal Injury insurance schemes, delivering a positive and supportive customer experience.

- Manage inbound calls and provide accurate information in line with business procedures and regulatory requirements.

- Support Claims teams through administrative and operational tasks including claim reviews, claim reopen requests, payment updates and system validation activities.

- Investigate and follow up information required to support claims processing and customer outcomes.

- Manage customer feedback and escalate complex matters where required.

- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support the wider team during busy periods.

What you’ll bring

- Previous experience in customer service, administration, contact centre or operations environments.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport and handle customer conversations with empathy and professionalism.

- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

- Confidence using Microsoft Office and web-based systems.

- A proactive and adaptable approach, with strong problem-solving and organisational skills.

- Experience within insurance, claims or financial services will be highly regarded.
