This is an opportunity for a hands-on leader who can balance strong day-to-day operations with sound financial management, strategic thinking and a genuine connection to the Club’s members and community. Reporting to the Board, the General Manager will be responsible for the overall performance of the Club. You will lead the team, maintain high standards of service and compliance, and work with the Board to turn the Club's priorities into practical outcomes.

Key responsibilities

Leading daily operations and supporting managers and team members across the Club.

Developing a positive, accountable team culture focused on member and guest experience.

Managing budgets, financial performance, reporting and cost controls.

Identifying opportunities to grow revenue, strengthen the Club's offering and improve operations.

Providing transparent advice and regular performance updates to the Board.

Maintaining strong relationships with members, bowls stakeholders, community groups and other key partners.





Ensuring the Club meets its licensing, gaming, workplace health and safety, and other operational obligations.

About you

Proven senior management experience in a club, hospitality or similarly complex customer-focused setting.

Strong financial and operational management skills.

A practical, approachable leadership style and the ability to develop others.

Sound judgement and clear communication skills.

Experience building relationships with members and community stakeholders.

An understanding of the responsibilities involved in operating a licensed venue.

RMLV (Responsible Management of Licensed Venues).

Approved Manager's License.

Gaming Nomination & License.
