Change Management Lead | Insurance Transformation

We are looking for an experienced Change Management Lead to help establish and embed the change management foundation for a major insurance and technology transformation program.

This is a senior, hands-on role with real ownership.

You will shape the change approach ensuring stakeholder engagement, adoption, readiness and people impacts are considered from the very beginning of the program.

You will work across business and technology teams, adapting broader enterprise change frameworks to the local environment while building sustainable change capability that can transition into client ownership.

Previous experience within insurance is mandatory.

Responsibilities

- Establish Change management framework and approach.
- Ensure people, stakeholder, adoption and readiness considerations are embedded into program planning from inception.
- Develop stakeholder assessments, change impact analysis, engagement plans, communications and readiness activities.
- Lead stakeholder identification and engagement across business and technology teams.
- Establish change governance, tools, templates and supporting artefacts.
- Assess organisational readiness and identify risks to adoption.
- Tailor global or enterprise change methodologies to the Australian business, regulatory and cultural environment.




- Work closely with senior stakeholders to build alignment and support key transformation outcomes.
- Build internal change capability to support long-term ownership and sustainability.

Skills & Experience

- Strong experience leading Organisational Change Management within complex transformation programs.
- Previous experience within insurance, financial services or large-scale technology transformation environments.
- Strong capability across stakeholder analysis, change impact assessment, communications, engagement and readiness.
- Experience establishing change frameworks, governance and supporting tools from the ground up.
- Proven ability to adapt global change methodologies to regional environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation and influencing skills across executive and operational audiences.
- Robust understanding of the Australian insurance sector and transformation landscape.

Highly Regarded

- Prosci, APMG or equivalent Change Management certification.
- Experience working across multinational or global transformation programs.
- Knowledge of insurance operations including policy, claims, customer or technology transformation.

This role would suit a senior Change Lead who enjoys getting involved early, creating structure where it does not yet exist and leaving behind a change capability that is practical, sustainable and genuinely adopted.
