Melbourne

ArchiPro is looking for an exceptional Client Partnership Director to lead and grow our relationships with brands across the Melbourne architecture and design market.

We're looking for someone who deeply understands marketing, advertising and brand, someone who can sit across the table from a Marketing Director, founder or business owner, understand what they are trying to achieve, challenge their thinking when appropriate, and help build a better marketing strategy around it.

Commercial ability matters. But we believe the best commercial relationships are built by creating genuine value first.

About ArchiPro

ArchiPro is a global marketing and media platform for the architecture, building and design industry, connecting more than 600,000 monthly users with the brands, products and professionals shaping exceptional spaces.

Our audience spans homeowners actively planning and building, alongside architects, interior designers, builders and other industry professionals researching the products, people and businesses behind their projects.

Businesses invest in ArchiPro because they want to reach and influence these audiences. But simply being visible isn't enough.

Our role is to help our clients understand who they need to reach, how they should position themselves, what content they should create, how their products and projects should be presented, and ultimately how to turn that exposure into meaningful commercial outcomes.

We want to become an extension of our clients' marketing teams rather than simply another platform they advertise on. We want to understand their business, their challenges and their ambitions, and use our audience, data and expertise to help them make better marketing decisions.

That's where this role comes in.

The Role

As Client Partnership Director for Melbourne, you'll own senior relationships with some of the most respected brands in architecture, interiors, construction and design.

You'll spend a significant amount of your time with clients, understanding their businesses, their challenges, their marketing strategies and where they want to go.

One conversation might involve reviewing a client's ArchiPro performance and identifying which architects are engaging with their products. Another might involve helping a brand think through a new product launch, content strategy or campaign. Another could involve sitting with a founder and discussing how their brand needs to position itself within the architectural market.

You'll use audience insights, performance data and your own marketing experience to help clients make better decisions.

And yes,

there is a commercial component.

You'll be responsible for retaining and growing existing partnerships and developing new ones across the Melbourne market. You'll negotiate agreements, present recommendations and close partnerships.

But we don't want someone whose first instinct is to sell. We want someone whose first instinct is to understand.

If we understand the client's business, provide intelligent advice and consistently create value, the commercial conversation becomes the natural outcome of the relationship.

What You'll Actually Do

You'll build genuine relationships with marketing leaders, founders and senior decision-makers across Melbourne's architecture and design industry.

You'll learn how their businesses work, their positioning, customers, competitors, marketing priorities and commercial challenges, rather than limiting the conversation to what they buy from ArchiPro.

You'll become a trusted marketing partner, bringing ideas, insights and recommendations that help clients improve how they reach architects, designers, builders and homeowners.

You'll interpret audience and performance data and turn it into a clear story about what's working, what isn't and what should happen next.

You'll lead regular performance conversations and more comprehensive annual partnership reviews that bring together results, insights, opportunities and the strategy for the year ahead.

You'll work with clients on campaigns, launches, content, projects, products, films, events and other opportunities across the ArchiPro ecosystem.

You'll identify opportunities to grow partnerships where there is a genuine business case for doing so.

You'll also develop new relationships across the Melbourne market, bringing businesses into the ArchiPro ecosystem through intelligent, consultative conversations rather than transactional selling.

And you'll bring what you're learning back into ArchiPro, challenging us to improve our products, our marketing solutions and the way we work with clients.

Who We're Looking For

Your background could be in a media agency, advertising agency, creative agency, publishing, brand consultancy, premium media business or a senior client-side marketing role.

You may already work with clients as a strategist, Account Director, Group Account Director, Client Partner, Business Director or Marketing Director.

Your exact title matters less than how you think.

You understand marketing beyond surface-level terminology. You can talk comfortably about brand, positioning, audience, media, content, campaigns, customer journeys, performance and return on marketing investment.

You can look at data and find the story behind it. You're commercially confident and comfortable discussing investment, negotiating agreements and asking for a decision.

But you're also curious. You ask good questions. You listen. You want to understand why a business is doing something before recommending what it should do next.

You're comfortable challenging a client's thinking respectfully when you believe there is a better approach. And you're someone people want to work with.

Architecture & Design

You don't necessarily need to have worked in architecture or design before.

But you need to care about it. ArchiPro operates in a world of exceptional architecture, interiors, products and brands. You'll spend your days working with the businesses shaping Melbourne's built environment.

An existing understanding of this industry would be valuable. A genuine interest in it is essential.

We want someone who enjoys being in market, visiting clients, attending industry events, meeting architects and designers, seeing new products and projects, and becoming part of Melbourne's architecture and design community.

This is not a role for someone who wants to manage relationships primarily through email and Zoom.

The Person

We're looking for someone ambitious, intelligent and culturally aligned with how we operate.

Someone who takes ownership. Someone who is constantly learning.

Someone who can operate independently but wants to be part of a highly ambitious team.

Someone who doesn't accept "that's how we've always done it" as a reason for doing something.

And someone who genuinely wants to raise the standard of how brands market themselves within architecture and design.

At ArchiPro, we pursue excellence. That means continually questioning what we do, learning from our clients and our market, and finding better ways to create value.

This person will play an important part in shaping what the next generation of client partnership at ArchiPro looks like.

If you're an exceptional marketer who happens to be commercially robust, rather than a salesperson who has learned some marketing language, we'd particularly like to hear from you.
