About us

Meals on Wheels commenced its operation in Tasmania in 1955, we now have 15 branch locations spread across the State from Wynyard in the Northwest down to Huon Valley in the South. Our dedicated 50+ staff and 700+ volunteers deliver over 280,000 meals every year to frail, aged people, and people with disabilities enabling them to remain independent in their homes for longer.

About the Role

Meals on Wheels Tasmania is seeking a part-time Client Services Officer (CSO) to join our busy and supportive Client Services Team based in Glenorchy. CSO’s are the first point of contact for our clients and are responsible for client intake, ongoing reviews, and general support.





This is a busy and rewarding administrative role that requires empathy, professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities.

About you

You are a warm, approachable and professional individual, with a genuine passion for providing exceptional customer services to vulnerable members of the community. You thrive in busy, rapid-paced environments and bring strong organisational skills and attention to detail to everything you do. You’re confident working independently, yet value being part of a supportive team.

Your communication skills, both written and verbal, are excellent, and you’re able to manage sensitive situations with empathy, respect, and discretion.

Selection Criteria

Essential

- Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office and Client Management Systems.
- Demonstrated experience in administrative or client / customer facing roles.
- Well developed planning, organisation, and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and written / verbal communication abilities.
- Proven ability to support and interact compassionately with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Commitment to maintaining accurate, high quality client records.

Desirable:
- Previous experience working with elderly or vulnerable individuals.
- Understanding of the Australian Aged Care and Quality Standards.
