The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) is the leading standards body responsible for the training and education of specialists and GP obstetricians in obstetrics and gynaecology in Australia and New Zealand.

Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The Opportunity Reporting to the Executive Director, Education Development, and working in a clinical leadership capacity, this role is critical to the continued growth, development, and sustainability of the Fetal Surveillance Education Program (FSEP). The primary focus of the role is to provide clinical direction and strategic advice to align the FSEP with contemporary clinical practice, quality standards and RANZCOG’s strategic priorities.

This position is part-time, 0.6 FTE (22 hours per week), with flexible work arrangements available.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide oversight and guidance to the FSEP Clinical Educators
- Provide clinical and educational expertise and direction to the ongoing development of resources for the FSEP, such as the online education programs, presentations, and assessment tools
- Explore growth opportunities for the FSEP expansion in different markets
- Reinforce working relationships with hospitals or individuals currently utilising the FSEP
- Work closely with the Operations Manager to monitor educator capacity and demand, and identify when recruitment of additional FSEP Clinical Educators is required.
- Lead the selection and training of FSEP Clinical Educators, to ensure a stable educator base
- Providing back-up support for delivery of the FSEP




- Provide advice and consultation to the FSEP client base on a range of fetal surveillance and educational issues

This role requires some out of hours work and occasional travel within Australia and New Zealand. The College offers time off in lieu and flexible working arrangements at times when out of hours work is required.

- Experience in the development and delivery of quality assurance programs within the health sector
- A strong interest in delivery of education and appreciation of the value of multidisciplinary adult learning
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to lead teams of varying sizes and scope of responsibilities
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise and communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, groups, and individuals
- Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines, set priorities and operate both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to provide clinical expertise in the development and maintenance of associated educational resources
- Confidence and ability to operate independently while travelling and delivering education
- Highly developed verbal communication skills, and public speaking ability
- Credibility and in-depth understanding of the material and profession
- Flexibility to accommodate occasional travel, including interstate and overseas, with varied session times and locations.
